Out of the woods and into the silvery morning light. These bays are the four-in-hand team of Mr. William Staples, pulling The Viking, a couch owned and loved by Mr. Vanderbilt. I could smell new-cut hay, I could hear the jingle and creak of harness, and I could feel their enthusiasm for the drive ahead. They were, if possible, fresher than the morning itself!
