The Woodpile11" x 14" $2,500
I paint from photos, because horses never stand still. That doesn’t mean, though, that I’m a slave to what my camera has picked up. This painting is a good example—the figures in this painting were actually taking a break in the midst of a fall “tea check.” Happy onlookers and friends were enjoying food and drink at a long table nearby, set under the oaks on their farm. Children were having a field day with the hounds, petting the ones they could reach and shouting at the others. I didn’t see the party, though. I saw a lovely big horse and his rider, posed in front of a woodpile in late fall. |
